This approach to teaching, grading, and learning allows students to take ownership of their understanding by continually self-assessing their proficiency on standards.

We are committed to working with students to prepare them for college and careers, while also building their self-confidence, resilience, and compassion. Our curriculum offers college preparatory courses--including honors and Advanced Placement courses--in English, math, science, visual and performing arts, world languages, and physical education. The LTHS Mathematics Department has developed principles and standards for student learning which guide its academic programs and courses and challenge students. There are four principles and five general standards. In addition, each general standard contains specific mathematical standards that are available upon request.
