Approximately 50 UN, NATO/Partnership, EU, NORDEFCO and other courses are conducted yearly at SWEDINT. Around 1300 participants from more than 60 countries typically take part in our activities. The courses will provide a basis for further studies in the Swedish language. The courses equal 7.5 credits and are free of charge. Application is only open during a certain period before each semester, and applicants are admitted on a first come, first served basis. You can also learn Swedish as a foreign language at Folkuniversitetet in Uppsala.

The courses Basic Swedish 1-4 equals 7.5 hp each and are free of charge The course has no compulsory parts or examination, and does not give academic credits. The courses are based on the language level scale found in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), and they cover a span from level A1 to B1. Each semester is split up into two course periods of 10 weeks each. That means that it’s possible to take two courses during a semester, e.g., Swedish 1 and Swedish 2.
